Target Fluent, a community that promote adult education, has successfully concluded a 30-hour English language program tailored specifically for adult Filipinos seeking to improve their communication skills in English.
Facilitated by licensed English teachers Nerizza Malunga and Mike Gruta, the three-month program was designed to address a growing demand for English proficiency among Filipino adults in both professional and social contexts.
The online course focused on practical language skills, including conversational fluency, workplace communication, and grammar essentials, with additional emphasis on confidence-building exercises.
One of the standout features of the program was its flexible, learner-centered approach. Classes were scheduled during evenings and weekends to accommodate participants’ busy lifestyles. Many enrollees juggled work or family responsibilities, but the program’s online delivery format made it more accessible.
Graduates have expressed gratefulness for the program, noting how it helped boost their confidence.
“I would like to thank you for the opportunity you have provided us; I really appreciate it. Also, I want to express my gratitude to Sir Mike for helping me with my English and for boosting my confidence in speaking it,” said learner Nicole Sembrano.

“I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for giving me the opportunity to participate in the training. Over the past five months, my training with Ma’am Nezz has been incredibly beneficial, especially now that I’ve started my new job,” said learner Ria Letrodo.

Target Fluent admits a three-month one-time educational program is not enough. Aiming to address this, Target Fluent plans to expand its offerings, including affordable intensive digital marketing courses to Overseas Filipino Workers and free workshops and seminars to help participants become job-ready.
The organization also plans to incorporate more interactive tools and available online resources to further enhance learner engagement.
Target Fluent’s initiative is another step towards equipping Filipinos with the skills to thrive in an increasingly globalized world.
