Why Target Fluent?

We often use the word ‘fluent’ to refer to the proficiency of a person to understand and speak a language.

Examples of these are:

Are you fluent in English? (Bihasa ka ba sa Ingles?)

I am fluent in English and Filipino. (Ako ay magaling mag Ingles at Filipino.)

But do you know there are other uses of the word ‘fluent’?

Aside from referring to language proficiency, the word ‘fluent’ can be used in these cases:

technologically/digitally fluent (bihasa gumamit ng teknolohiya)

financially fluent (marunong sa mga bagay na pinansyal)

socially fluent (maalam sa mga bagay tungkol sa lipunan)

Education for all

This advocacy group has been named Target Fluent because it aims to educate adult Filipinos in various subjects and topics that can help them in their lives.

This advocacy does not only intend to help Filipinos upskill to look for better job opportunities but to also enable them to create a positive change in the society.

Again, this advocacy is targeted to adult Filipinos, which include parents, grandparents, uncles and aunts, etc.

Education is not only for children. It is also for adults. It is for everyone.

As long as we still live and are in the right capacity to think, we can still do great things in our lives, only if we are knowledgeable enough.
